In accordance with thepowers vested in me in paragraph 37 of the Brcko Final Arbitral Award of March 5, 1999, and paragraph 3 of the Annex of August 18, 1999;
Following the adoption of the Law on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Executive Authority of the Brcko District of BiH (Brcko District Official Gazette No. 8/03) establishing a new Department of Public Safety in the Brcko District Interim Government;
With the aim to uphold the principles of professionalism for District Government members and to fill in the vacant post for the Head of Department of Public Safety with the most suitable candidate until elections are held for the Brcko District Assembly and an elected government assumes office;
Guided by the recommendation of the selection board chaired by the Mayor of the Brcko District to evaluate the candidates that responded to the public announcement for the abovementioned position, that Ahmet Dervisevic is the most qualified candidate;
I hereby order that:
1. Ahmet Dervisevic is appointed to the position of Head of Department of Public Safety to serve until elections are held for the Brcko District Assembly.
2. This order shall have immediate effect and shall be published in the Brcko District Official Gazette.
